The estate or finca has been sensitively developed so that areas with different terrain and vegetation have been put to the most appropriate uses. The owners left areas of native forest (immense pines, oaks, and tropical trees), to buffer the developed parts of the property from roads and neighboring properties. Privacy is thereby assured.
Infrastructure: The owners paved a public road to the estate for easy access and then built excellent roads within. There are 10 fiber optic telephone lines and high-speed internet serving the estate.
Hotel Site: A site planned for a future hotel is located on the highest part of the property, which offers spectacular views. This area is large enough to be used as a polo filed.
Spring Water for the Finca: When the owners were planning for the hotel, they bought a piece of property at a higher altitude for its natural spring. A natural flow of 1.3 liters/second comes into a large tank and is passed through 4 filters, then treated with ozone before it is piped to the rest of the finca. The water tastes delicious and the flow provides an adequate supply for up to 300 people, all of which is dedicated to this property.
Areas of agricultural production: Included are 13 hectares (32.5 acres) of coffee, 400 avocado trees and more than 200 citrus trees, plus guava and custard apple (anona) trees. There is also a vegetable garden of 2000 m2 (½ acre) for growing vegetables for the finca.
