Stables: This is a World-Class Accommodation for horses and their riders. Every smallest detail has been carefully explored and the best solution implemented, regardless of cost. For instance, as the just-unsaddled horses have a drink of the pure water at the stable fountain, they have their legs rapidly cooled by a high-pressure water hose. Everywhere you look on the property you will see features that show the creativity and thought behind them: a painted concrete mounting block in the form of a “caracol” (snail shell), that allows a rider of any size to mount a horse of any size, an air-conditioned feed room with beautiful steel-lined, varnished wooden bins to keep various feed components fresh. Next to the stables there is a programmable variable-speed, roofed walker that is 23 m (75 ft) in diameter with divisions for 6 horses.

The Stable itself is constructed of steel and concrete with a metal roof and covers an area of 1000 m2 (10,763 sq ft). The configuration is rectangular with a central hallway that divides the stables into two zones. The central hallway gives access to the feed room, laundry, bathroom with shower and grooming area.  The tack room also opens off the central hall and stairs there lead to the second floor of 100 m2 (1076 square feet), which houses the stables office and a guest apartment with two bedrooms, full bath, living room, kitchen, and laundry.

Stall walls are constructed of concrete, with floors of steel-reinforced concrete covered by thick rubber mats. There are 10 stalls of 12 m2 (129 square feet), 2 stalls of 16 m2 (172 square feet), and 2 stalls of 24 m2 (258 square feet).

There is a horse wash area with a sink, and two manure bins of 2 m3 each (71 cu ft for holding manure cleaned from walkways, etc.

Arenas: The Indoor and Outdoor Dressage arenas, (Picaderos Olympicos), 20m x 60m (66ft x 198ft) are separated by a shaded, two-sided viewing stand (capacity 150 people), that faces both arenas, so that one can watch either arena, depending on where the action is. The outdoor arena has five covered structures close by for judges, plus men’s and women’s bathrooms and a concession stand to supply refreshments to riders and spectators.

The cool, inviting Indoor Arena has slanted walls, mirrors, an excellent music system, lighting, and an overhead water spray system to eliminate dust.

Storage Buildings for Hay and Shavings:  Two roofed buildings are able to store a total 600 bales of hay. For shavings, a discrete and cleverly designed storage room is built into a hill close to the stables. There, a delivery truck can unload shavings from a driveway over the storage building, and the shavings can be off-loaded through double doors below.

Main Tool Warehouse: This is a 225 m2 (2422 sq ft) building containing a room for working tools, a bathroom with shower for workers, shelves for storage, and a refrigerated room of 25 m2 (270 square feet) for cold storage of horse feed and vegetables. Stairs lead to an attractive second floor efficiency apartment of 50 m2 (538 square feet) with a fine view of the Central Valley.

Tractor, Equipment Storage:  Farm vehicles are located in a lower out-of-view area of the finca near the coffee and other areas of agricultural production.
